From Beverly to The Beverly: Reated Beal brings beloved A&B Burgers to Boston

Award-winning local favorite to open first Boston location on Causeway Street, continuing neighborhood's cultural renaissance.

Related Beal today announced that award-winning A&B Burgers, known for its gourmet hamburgers and lively atmosphere, will open its first Boston location across from North Station at The Beverly. The 4,000 square foot eatery will offer American gastropub fare, small plates, craft beers and high-end spirits providing diners a one-of-kind view of the Zakim Bridge and Charlestown.

“The chance to open our first Boston location in the middle of one of the city’s hottest neighborhoods was too good to pass up,” said owner Tom Holland. “A&B is far more than our award-winning burger. Our unique menu focuses on small plates and a variety of entrées, paired with carefully crafted cocktails and locally brewed beers. We are passionate about the A&B experience and can’t wait to introduce this destination dining spot to Boston, just steps from the TD Garden, the waterfront and everything else in town.”

At A&B, Holland draws from his extensive restaurant experience as General Manager of local favorite Sonsie, and his involvement in 606 Congress, Tico, Alta Strada at MGM Foxwoods, and Barrio Cantina alongside Michael Schlow. A&B’s original location opened in 2013, and has been recognized with a number of awards, including the North Shore’s best burger for the past two years. The new restaurant will seat 100 guests with approximately 19 bar seats.

Related Beal has a long history of incorporating exceptional dining experiences into their residential offerings. Across the street, Lovejoy Wharf recently announced Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli’s first restaurant, Alcove, which will open this year and provide unprecedented waterfront dining to residents and visitors. In the Back Bay, Related Beal’s The Clarendon is home to Post 390. In New York City, Related recently announced a new culinary collection at Hudson Yards with concepts from star chefs Thomas Keller, David Chang, Costas Spiliadis, and Jose Andrés. Related’s Time Warner Center is home to Per Se, PorterHouse, Masa and will soon welcome Momofuku Noodle Bar and a BlueBird from London.

“The Beverly already offers the best deal in Boston for modern living in the heart of the city, and we are always seeking to add unique experiences for our residents and neighbors,” said Kimberly Sherman Stamler, President of Related Beal. “With A&B, we are welcoming destination dining in this incredible neighborhood. We are thrilled to welcome Tom Holland and his team.”

A&B will be located on the Causeway Street side of the neighborhood’s 14-story mixed-use development, which houses the 239-unit The Beverly and the 220-room Courtyard by Marriot Boston Downtown/North Station. The property offers excellent access to several public transportation options, as well as to many of the city’s best, retail, entertainment venues, and open spaces. The Beverly’s 100 percent workforce and affordable apartments boast spectacular views of the city skyline, Boston Harbor and the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The LEED Silver building includes top floor amenities such as a fitness center, entertainment room, children’s room and outdoor terrace and grill.
