Applications now available for The Beverly, Boston’s first 100 percent affordable and workforce housing development in 25 years

Potential residents must request application by August 30 and submit by September 6.

Related Beal this week will begin accepting applications for The Beverly, Downtown Boston’s first 100% workforce and affordable housing development in more than a quarter century. Located in the North Station neighborhood, The Beverly is an incredible opportunity for Bostonians at a variety of income levels to live in the heart of the city at an affordable rent.

The Beverly will provide 239 workforce and affordable units, with a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and much needed family-sized three-bedroom units in a premier transit-oriented location. The workforce units will be available to households with annual incomes between $64,650-$198,000, with rents starting at $1,940 per month. The low-income units will be available to households with annual incomes of $17,578-$60,000, with rents starting at $492 per month.

The pet-friendly studio, one, two and three bedroom residences include a 24-hour attended lobby and are graciously appointed with modern finishes. Apartments feature spectacular views of the city skyline, Boston Harbor and the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The building, designed to reach a LEED Silver designation, includes top floor amenities including a fitness center, entertainment room, children’s room and outdoor terrace and grill. Bike storage and on-site parking are also available.

“The Beverly redefines workforce housing – offering modern design and amenities in an incredible location to meet the needs of the professionals that make our city great,” said Kimberly Sherman Stamler, President of Related Beal. “In working with Mayor Walsh, Governor Baker, and our public and private partners, we look forward to achieving our shared goal of providing more affordable housing options for Boston’s workforce. We are immensely proud of this joint effort to make The Beverly a reality.”

"Our partnership with Related Beal will give hundreds of families and individuals the opportunity to live downtown in affordable, transit-oriented housing," said Mayor Martin J. Walsh. "I am proud of our efforts to create new housing options for Boston residents and encourage people to engage and learn more.”
